Call Before You Dig

Its the law.

Click before you dig on any size project outside your home.

Are you planning renovations outside of your home?

First, you must make sure that your renovations can be completed safely. If they involve excavation, it is important to call for locates before breaking ground, as there is always a risk of hitting underground infrastructure.

There might be underground services, such as power lines, on your property. Accidentally hitting one of these can cause injuries, property damage and power outages. Verifying service locations before you begin your renovations is required by law under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

If you plan to put in fence posts, plant a tree, excavate for a pool, deck or new addition, please contact Ontario One Call to have them locate service lines on and near your property. To book a free appointment, call 1-800-400-2255 or go online to www.ontarioonecall.ca at least five business days before you plan to start digging.

With the current Canada Post service disruption, Lakeland Power is urging customers to switch to paperless billing and consider alternative payment options to mail-in payments.

We would like to remind customers it is their responsibility to have payment made by the due date to avoid late fees and service disruptions.
